Announcing the Arm EducateAI Coalition

Arm partners nationwide to deliver AI education, training, and opportunities to students and teachers in support of the White House AI Pledge.
By Vince Jesaitis, Head of Global Government Affairs, Arm

As the U.S. enters a new era of artificial intelligence (AI) innovation, one challenge has become increasingly clear: equitable access to AI education is essential for preparing the next generation. Without it, entire communities risk being left behind in an AI-powered economy.

This week at the White House, I joined leaders from across technology, education and government as we gathered to address this challenge. In support of the Pledge to Americaโ€™s Youth: Investing in AI Education, Arm announced the launch of the Arm EducateAI Coalition โ€“ a new, nationwide initiative designed to close the AI literacy gap and empower both students and educators to thrive in the future of work.

AI is reshaping every industry, and it is critical that we equip young people with the skills to succeed in this new era. The EducateAI Coalition is about ensuring access to AI education is not limited to a few, but available to all.

Building a National Commitment to AI Education

Arm has joined over 100 organizations in signing the White House AI Pledge, committing to significant, measurable investments in AI education. But to deliver impact at a national scale, collaboration is key.

That is why Arm is convening the EducateAI Coalition, uniting public, private and nonprofit partners to build pathways from classroom to career. Together, this coalition will help ensure that every learnerโ€”from kindergarten through higher educationโ€”has access to world-class AI tools, training and opportunities.

The Coalition is initially partnering with SCALE and SCALE K-12, initiatives of the U.S. Department of Defense led by Purdue University. With SCALEโ€™s national footprint in workforce development, combined with Armโ€™s global expertise in AI and computing education, the partnership will accelerate progress across schools, universities and training programs nationwide.

Delivering on Armโ€™s AI Education Commitments

Over the next four years, the EducateAI Coalition will deliver on Armโ€™s commitments under the White House AI Pledge. Together with partners, we will:

โ€ขย Deliver more than 500 customized AI workshops and hands-on training events across communities of practice nationwide.

โ€ข Launch 20 regional programs that bring AI tools into classrooms, reaching millions of learners.

โ€ข Train and certify 40,000 teachers, equipping them with confidence, credentials and classroom-ready AI curricula.

โ€ข Engage more than 5,000 educational institutions, scaling access to AI education across the U.S.

These efforts will be embedded in Armโ€™s established education platforms, including theย Arm School Program, theย Arm University Programย and theย Semiconductor Education Alliance.ย Through these programs, weโ€™ve already enabled more than 10,000 Arm-based classes and have reached more than 600 universities in the U.S. alone. Arm engineers and educators will lead multi-modal courses, serve as mentors and ensure curricula align with real-world AI applications.

AI Learning Pathways from Classroom to Career

The coalitionโ€™s curriculum is structured to meet learners where they are, building a continuum of AI literacy and skills development:

โ€ข Grades Kโ€“5: Foundational concepts, computational thinking and project-based learning.

โ€ข Grades 6โ€“8: Introductory courses in machine learning, data science and natural language processing.

โ€ข Grades 9โ€“12: Advanced coursework on AI models and the societal impact of AI.

โ€ข Higher Education & Workforce: Micro-credentials and certifications via community colleges and universities.

This structured pathway ensures students graduate not just as AI users, but as AI creators โ€“ ready to shape and lead in the industries of tomorrow.

Empowering Educators and School Leaders

Anย EdWeek Research Center surveyย found that a majority (58%) of teachers have yet to receive any AI training. Teachers are at the heart of AI education, and the EducateAI Coalition is designed with their success in mind, providingย foundational trainingย that gives teachers the confidence to introduce AI concepts into their classrooms and supported by practical tools such as classroom kits and tailored teaching resources.ย

Beyond entry-level training, the Coalition will establish credentialing programs, offering rigorous, nationwide certification that qualifies teachers to lead AI curricula at scale. And because lasting change requires leadership, the Coalition will extend its efforts to administrators through leadership development programs, equipping them with the knowledge and strategies to implement AI initiatives across entire education systems.

By investing in educators at every level the Coalition ensures that todayโ€™s training will reach millions of students for years to come.

The Future of AI Education: Whatโ€™s Next for the Coalition

The launch of the Arm EducateAI Coalition marks the beginning of Armโ€™s long-term commitment to AI education. Over the next four years, Coalition members will roll out programs, evaluate outcomes and continually adapt curricula to keep pace with advances in AI.

Most importantly, we invite others to join us. Whether you represent a school district, nonprofit, university, or technology provider, your participation is vital to achieving our shared mission: preparing Americaโ€™s youth to soar in an AI-powered future.

Join us in building a future where AI education is accessible to all. Learn more about the White House AI Pledge and Armโ€™s role in leading this coalition.
